We are very pleased to announce that the Ryno® OceanGreen dining chair has won the German Design Awards 2024 in the “Excellent Product Design – Mental, Rehabilitation and Health Care” category!
Our innovative product from the popular Ryno® series retains all the properties of the robust and unbreakable series, yet consists of 50% recycled material and is therefore more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
Discarded or lost fishing nets, ropes or other fishing equipment make up around 10% of the plastic waste that ends up in our oceans. Such nets, ropes or other equipment can harm marine life: fish, birds, crabs and other species become entangled in them and attract larger marine animals, which can also become entangled in them.
The Ryno® OceanGreen chair is made from 50% of this same recycled material and therefore achieves 23% lower energy consumption during production and a 16% reduction in CO 2 pollution.
The striking green color of the chair is also due to the characteristic color of the fishing nets and ropes, which gave rise to the name “OceanGreen”.
