Pineapple has appointed distinguished Australian marketing consultant and thought leader, Michael Neale, to establish and chair a global advisory board for the organisation.
“Michael Neale has established an excellent reputation in the area of thought leadership through a number of significant advisory boards that he has led in the past or with which he is currently involved”, explains Charles Hathorn, Managing Director of Kent-based specialist furniture group Pineapple. “Michael has been working with us closely in the recent past as a strategic brand and marketing consultant for our global business. We are delighted that he will be expanding his role, helping us to draw on leading thinkers across a wide range of fields from all over the world”.
Michael Neale is Managing Director and Principal Consultant of strategic marketing consultancy firm Literally Brilliant. Prior to this, he had a highly successful career in client-side strategic marketing in significant roles including Director of Marketing at ERA Technology in the UK, Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications at the University of Adelaide and Chief Marketing Officer for the San Remo food group – one of the largest and most successful Australian family owned FMCG food companies.
“Michael has a significant track record in helping companies with their strategic marketing”, says Charles Hathorn. “He brings experience from a number of industries, has broad international exposure and has already helped us to look at the essence of our customer offering in new ways”.
The announcement comes at a time of great success and growth for Pineapple, developing innovative new products that are revolutionising how people think about furniture in the prison and mental health space. Pineapple has also seen strong expansion of geographic markets, particularly in northern Europe and the USA.
“The challenge for Pineapple is to maintain its leadership in the market through innovation”, says Charles Hathorn. “To enable us to do this, we must understand both the needs of our customers and best practice in addressing those needs better than any of our competitors. To this end, we are putting together an advisory board of hand-picked global experts that will give us insight and inspiration in developing unparalleled furniture solutions.”
Pineapple creates purposeful furniture. It has an ongoing process of listening to customer needs, distilling them down to understand purpose and then producing furniture ranges that are mindfully designed to deliver that purpose.
Other announcements on significant appointments to the Pineapple global advisory board are expected in the near future.
